PRIORITIES COMMITTEE

DECEMBER 16, 2009

                                                            MINUTES

The meeting of the Priorities Committee was held at 7:00 pm in the Selectmen's Meeting room

and was called to order at 7:24 p.m. by Chair William Heitin.

Members Present:

Chair:                          William Heitin

Board of Selectmen:   Richard Powell

Finance Committee:    Ira Miller and Charles Goodman

School Committee:       Glenn Allen  

Others Present:

William Fowler, Barbara Dunham, Timothy Farmer and Benjamin E. Puritz

Chair Heitin called upon Treasurer/Finance Director Bill Fowler to discuss the Revenue Forecast.

Bill Fowler, Treasurer/Finance Director presented to the Committee a preliminary draft of Revenue Projections FY’11.  Mr. Fowler informed the committee that the

numbers will not be firm and certified by the State until mid-January for taxes and free cash.  Based on the unconfirmed numbers above, he also mentioned that there is a potential increase of 1.03% over the Revenue Forecast FY’10.

The next meeting will be on Thursday, January 14, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. in the Selectmen’s Meeting Room.

It was MOVED and SECONDED to adjourn.  VOTED: 5-0-0
